Old vs New Covenant Laws & Sabbaths

Gal 3:10 Those who depend on the LAW to make them right with God are under his CURSE, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does NOT observe and OBEY ALL THE COMMANDS THAT ARE WRITTEN in God’s Book of THE LAW.”

Gal 3:11 So it is clear that NO ONE can be made RIGHT with God by trying to KEEP the LAW. For the Scriptures say, “It is through FAITH that a righteous person has life.”

The Reason for the LAW and God’s Promise

Gal 3:15 Dear brothers and sisters, here’s an example from everyday life. Just as no one can set aside or amend an irrevocable agreement, so it is in this case.

Gal 3:16 God gave the PROMISES to Abraham and his CHILD. And notice that the Scripture doesn’t say “to HIS CHILDREN,” as IF it meant many descendants. Rather, it says “to HIS CHILD—and that, of course, means CHRIST.

Gal 3:17 This is what I am trying to say: The agreement God made with Abraham could not be canceled 430 years later when God gave the LAW to Moses. God would be BREAKING his promise.

Gal 3:18 For if the inheritance COULD be received by KEEPING the LAW, then it would not be the result of accepting God’s promise. But God graciously gave it to Abraham as a promise.

Gal 3:19 Why, then, was the LAW given? It was given alongside the promise to SHOW PEOPLE THEIR SINS. But the LAW was designed to LAST ONLY until the COMING of the CHILD who was promised. God gave his LAW through angels to Moses, who was the MEDIATOR between God and the people.

New Covenant Not Made with Fathers

Heb.8:7 For if that FIRST covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been SOUGHT for a SECOND.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, he said, Behold, the days come, said the Lord, when I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

Heb 8:9 NOT ACCORDING TO THE COVENANT that I made with THEIR FATHERS in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued NOT in my COVENANT, and I regarded them not, said the Lord.

Heb 8:10 For THIS is the COVENANT that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, said the Lord; I will put my LAWS into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they will be to me a people:

Heb 8:11 And they will not teach every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all will know me, from the least to the greatest.

Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Old Covenant Obsolete

Heb 8:13 In that He says, “A NEW COVENANT,He has made the FIRST OBSOLETE. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.”

Ephesians 2:15 Having ABOLISHED in his flesh the enmity, EVEN the LAW of COMMANDMENTS [contained] in ORDINANCES; for to make in himself of twain one new man, [so] making peace;

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect to you, whosoever of YOU are JUSTIFIED by the LAW; you are FALLEN FROM GRACE.

Romans 10:4 For CHRIST [is] the END of the LAW for righteousness to everyone that believes.

LAWS ETCHED IN STONE, LED TO DEATH

2Cor 3:3 Clearly, you [disciples] are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is not written with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is NOT CARVED ON TABLETS OF STONE, but on human hearts.

2Cor 3:6 He has enabled us to be ministers of his NEW COVENANT. This is a COVENANT NOT OF WRITTEN LAWS, but of the Spirit. The OLD WRITTEN COVENANT ends in DEATH; but under the NEW COVENANT, the Spirit gives life.

2Cor 3:7 The OLD WAY, with LAWS ETCHED IN STONE, led to DEATH, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away.

2Cor 3:8 Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the NEW WAY, now that the HOLY SPIRIT is giving life?

2Cor 3:9 If the OLD WAY, which brings CONDEMNATION, was glorious, how much more glorious is the NEW WAY, which makes us right with God!

2Cor 3:10 In fact, that first glory was not glorious at all compared with the overwhelming glory of the new way.

Cor 3:11 So if the OLD WAY, which has BEEN REPLACED, was glorious, how much more Glorious is the NEW, which remains forever!

2Cor 3:14 But the people’s minds were hardened, and to this day whenever the OLD COVENANT is being read, the same VEIL Covers their Minds so they cannot understand the truth. And this VEIL can be REMOVED ONLY by BELIEVING IN CHRIST.

2Cor 3:17 For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  [NLT: 2Cor 3:3-17]

Keep The Whole Law Or Guilty Of All

James 2:10 Whoever will KEEP the WHOLE LAW, and Yet OFFEND in ONE POINT, he is GUILTY of ALL.

Rom 3:19 The LAW applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having EXCUSES, and to show that the Entire World is GUILTY before God.
Rom 3:20 Therefore NO ONE will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the WORKS of the LAW; rather, through the LAW we become Conscious of our Sin.

Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God WITHOUT THE LAW is MANIFESTED, being witnessed by the LAW and the PROPHETS

Rom 3:27 Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is NOT based on obeying the LAW. It is based on FAITH.

Rom 3:28 So we are made right with God through FAITH.

Rom 6:20 Therefore by the DEEDS of the LAW, NO flesh will be justified in His sight; for by the LAW is the KNOWLEDGE of sin.

Rom 6:23 For the Wages of Sin is Death, but the FREE GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Rom 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works; otherwise grace is no more GRACE. But if its is of WORKS, then it is NO MORE GRACE.

Eph 2:8 For by GRACE are you saved through FAITH; and that not of yourselves: it is the GIFT of God 9 NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast [brag].

Difference Between Slavery & Freedom

Gal 4:21 Tell me, you who want to live under the LAW, do you know what the LAW actually says?

Gal 4:22 The Scriptures say that Abraham had two sons, one from his slave wife and one from his freeborn wife.

Gal 4:23 The son of the slave wife was born in a human attempt to bring about the fulfillment of God’s promise.
But the son of the freeborn wife was born as God’s own fulfillment of his promise.

Gal 4:24 These two women serve as an illustration of God’s TWO COVENANTS. The first woman, Hagar, represents Mount Sinai where people received the LAW that enslaved them

Gal 4:25 And now Jerusalem is just like Mount Sinai in Arabia, because she and her children live in slavery to the LAW. [Muslims live under works based religion]

Gal 4:26 But the other woman, Sarah, represents the heavenly Jerusalem. She is the free woman, and she is our mother.

Gal 4:27 As Isaiah said, “Rejoice, O childless woman, you who have never given birth!
Break into a joyful shout, you who have never been in labor! For the desolate woman now has more children than the woman who lives with her husband!”

Gal 4:28 And you, dear brothers and sisters, are children of the promise, just like Isaac.

Gal 4:29 But you are now being persecuted by those who want you to keep the LAW, just as Ishmael, the child born by human effort, persecuted Isaac, the child born by the power of the Spirit.

Gal 4:30 But what do the Scriptures say about that? “Get rid of the slave and her son, for the son of the slave woman will not share the inheritance with the free woman’s son.” 31 So, dear brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman; we are children of the free woman.

Not Justified By Works Of The Law

Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is NOT JUSTIFIED BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and NOT by the WORKS OF THE LAW: for by the WORKS of the LAW will NO FLESH BE JUSTIFIED.

Gal 2:17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, [is] therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

Gal 2:18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.

Gal 2:19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live to God.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if RIGHTEOUSNESS [comes] BY the LAW, then Christ is DEAD IN VAIN.

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it has not works, is dead, being alone.

James 2:20 But will you know, O vain man, that FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD?

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so FAITH WITHOUT WORKS is DEAD also.

NEW COVENANT

Jesus was the only one who COULD COMPLETELY fulfill the LAW. He fulfilled all the Old Testament LAWS and the Old Covenant and in so doing was able to establish a NEW COVENANT.

1Tim 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

New Covenant Mediator

Heb 9:15 That is why he is the one who mediates a NEW COVENANT between God and people, so that all who are called can receive the eternal inheritance God has promised them. For Christ died to set them free from the penalty of the sins they had COMMITTED under that first covenant.

Heb 9:16 Now when someone leaves a WILL, it is necessary to PROVE that the person who MADE IT IS DEAD.

Heb 9:17 The will goes into effect only after the person’s death. While the person who made it is still alive, the will cannot be put into effect.

Heb 9:18 That is why even the FIRST Covenant was put into effect with the BLOOD of an animal.

Heb 9:19 For after Moses had read each of God’s commandments to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, and sprinkled both the book of God’s LAW and all the people, using hyssop branches and scarlet wool.

Heb 9:20 Then he said, “This blood confirms the covenant God has made with you.” 21 And in the same way, he sprinkled blood on the Tabernacle and on everything used for worship.

Heb 9:22 In fact, according to the LAW of Moses, nearly everything was purified with blood. For without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness.

NEW COVENANT IN BLOOD – LORD’S SUPPER

Luke 22:19 [ESV]  And he [Jesus] took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the NEW COVENANT in my BLOOD.

1 Cor 11:23 [ESV] For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

Mark 14:22 [ESV] And as they were eating, he took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to them, and said, “Take; this is my body.” 23 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank of it. 24 And he said to them, “This is my BLOOD OF THE COVENANT, which is poured out for many.

One Mediator

Gal 3:20 Now a mediator is helpful if more than one party must reach an agreement. But God, who is one, did not use a mediator when he gave his promise to Abraham.

Gal 3:21 Is there a conflict, then, between God’s LAW and God’s promises? Absolutely not! IF the LAW could give us new life, we could be made right with God by obeying it.

Gal 3:22 But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.

God’s Children through Faith

Gal 3:23 Before the way of faith in Christ was available to us, we were placed under guard by the LAW. We were kept in protective custody, so to speak, until the way of faith was revealed.

Gal 3:24 Let me put it another way. The LAW was our guardian until Christ came; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith.

Gal 3:25 And now that the way of faith has Come, we no longer need the LAW as our guardian.

Gal 3:26 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Gal 3:28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Gal 3:29 And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you.

Gal 3: 30 What does all this mean? Even though the Gentiles were not trying to follow God’s standards, they were made right with God. And it was by faith that this took place.

Gal 3:31 But the people of Israel, who tried so hard to get right with God by keeping the LAW, never succeeded.

Gal 3:32 Why not? Because they were trying to get right with God by keeping the LAW instead of By Trusting In Him. They stumbled over the great rock in their path.

Did You Get Holy Spirit By Obeying the Law of Moses?

Gal 3:1 Oh, foolish Galatians! Who has cast an evil spell on you? For the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death was made as clear to you as if you had seen a picture of his death on the cross.

Gal 3:2 Let me ask you this one question: DID YOU RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT BY OBEYING THE LAW OF MOSES? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.

Gal 3:3 How foolish can you be? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?

Gal 3:4 Have you experienced so much for nothing? Surely it was not in vain, was it?

Gal 3:5 I ask you again, does God give you the Holy Spirit and work miracles among you because you obey the LAW? Of course not! It is because you believe the message you heard about Christ.

Gal 3:6 In the same way, “Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith.”

Gal 3:7 The real children of Abraham, then, are those who put their faith in God.

Gal 3:8 What’s more, the Scriptures looked forward to this time when God would declare the Gentiles to be righteous because of their faith. God proclaimed this good news to Abraham long ago when he said, “All nations will be blessed through you.”

Gal 3:9 So all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith.

Gal 3:10 But those who depend on the LAW to make them right with God are under his CURSE, for the Scriptures say, “Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all the commands that are written in God’s Book of the LAW.”

Gal 3:11 So it is clear that no one can be made right with God by trying to keep the LAW. For the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

Gal 3:12 This WAY of faith is VERY DIFFERENT from the WAY of LAW, which says, “It is through obeying the LAW that a person has life.

Gal 3:13 But CHRIST HAS RESCUED US FROM THE CURSE pronounced by the LAW. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

Gal 3:14 Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised Holy Spirit through faith.

1Cor 9: 20 And to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the LAW, as under the LAW, that I might gain them that are under the LAW;

1Cor 9:21 To them that are without LAW, as without LAW, (being not without LAW to God, but under the LAW to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without LAW.

If  We Say We Have No Sin, We Lie

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1 John 1:6 – If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
1 John 1:7 – But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:8 – If we SAY THAT WE HAVE NO SIN, we DECEIVE ourselves, and the truth is NOT in us.
1 John 1:9 If we CONFESS our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have NOT sinned, we make him a LIAR, and his word is not in us.

Keep My Commandments

Mat 3:8 Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God.[NLT]

Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins

Two Commandments

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Matthew 22:38 This is the FIRST AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT.

Matthew 22:39 And the second [is] like to it, You will LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.

Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang ALL THE LAW and the PROPHETS.

Rom 13:8 Love one another: for he that loves another HAS FULFILLED the LAW.

Rom 13:9 For this, You will not commit adultery, You will not kill, You will not steal, You will not bear false witness, You will not covet; and if there be ANY other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, You will love your neighbor as yourself.

—–

John 15:10 [Jesus said:] If you keep MY commandments, you will abide in MY love; even as I HAVE KEPT MY FATHER’S COMMANDMENTS, and abide in HIS love.

John 15:11 These things have I spoken to you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

John 15:12 This is MY COMMANDMENT, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

John 15:13 Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends

John 15:14 You are my friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.

John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known to you.

John 15:16 You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever you will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

John 15:17 These things I command you, that you love one another.

John 15:18 If the world hate you, you know that it hated me before it hated you.

Teachings of Jesus – Beatitudes

Mat 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came to him: 2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,

Mat 5:7 [Jesus said:] Blessed are the merciful: for they will obtain mercy.

Mat 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God.

Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they will be called the children of God.

Mat 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Not Come to Abolish Law But to Fulfill

Mat 5:17 [Jesus said:] Don’t Think that I came to destroy the law, or the prophets: I did not come to destroy, but to FULFILL.

Mat 5:18 For verily I say to you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle will in no wise pass from the law, till ALL be fulfilled.

Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore will break one of these least commandments, and will teach men so, he will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever will do and teach [them], the same will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Mat 5:20 For I say to you, That except your righteousness will exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, you will in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Commandments Restated

Mat 5:21 [Jesus said:] You have heard that it was said by them of old time, You will not kill; and whosoever will kill will be in danger of the judgment:

Mat 5:22 But I say to you, That whosoever is ANGRY with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever will say to his brother, Raca, will be in danger of the council: but whosoever will say, You fool, will be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has ought against you; 24 Leave there your gift before the altar, and go your way; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Mat 5:25 Agree with your adversary quickly, whiles you are in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.

Mat 5:28 But I say to you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart. 32 But I say to you, That whosoever will put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever will marry her that is divorced commits adultery.

Mat 5:34 But I say to you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s throne: 35 Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King. 36 Neither will you swear by thy head, because you canst not make one hair white or black.

Mat 5:37 But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these comes of evil.

Mat 5:38 You have heard that it has been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:

Mat 5:39 But I say to you, That you resist not evil: but whosoever will smite you on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Mat 5:40 And if any man will sue you at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have [thy] cloke also.

Mat 5:41 And whosoever will compel you to go a mile, go with him twain.

Mat 5:42 Give to him that asks you, and from him that would borrow of you turn not you away.

Mat 5:43 You have heard that it has been said, You will love your neighbor, and hate your enemy.

Mat 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he makes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Mat 5:46 For if you love them which love you, what reward have you? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more [than others]? do not even the publicans so?

Mat 5:48 Be you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Keep My Commandments

John 14:15 [Jesus said:] If you love me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it sees him not, neither knows him: but you know him; for he dwells with you, and will be in you.

John 15:8 [Jesus said:] Herein is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so will you be my disciples.

John 15:9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you: continue you in my love.

John 15:10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.

John 15:11 These things have I spoken to you, that my joy might remain in you, and [that] your joy might be full.

John 15:12 This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

Mat 7:20 [Jesus said:] Wherefore by their fruits you will know them.

Mat 7:21 Not every one that said to me, Lord, Lord, will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that does the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

Mat 7:23 And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever hears these sayings of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I to you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world.

1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

1John 2:4 He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1John 2:5 But whoso keeps his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1John 2:6 He that said he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Rev 22:10 And he said to me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work will be.

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Rev 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Rev 22:15 For outside [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whore mongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loves and maks a lie.

Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star.

Rev 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that hears say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Warning: No More Sacrifice for Continual Sin

Jer 17:10 I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”(NLT)

Luke 8:17 For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all.[NLT]

Eph 2:3 We’ve all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 7 Be not you therefore partakers with them.

Rom 2:13 For the HEARERS of the law are NOT just before God, but the DOERS of the law will be justified.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins

Rom8:8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

SABBATHS

The fullness of the day is not found in a day but in the person Jesus Christ.

Mark 2:27 And [Jesus] said to them, The SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN, and not man for the Sabbath:

Mark 2:28 Therefore the SON OF MAN IS LORD ALSO OF THE SABBATH.

Mat 11:27 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Mat 11:28 COME TO ME, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I WILL GIVE YOU REST.

Mat 11:29 Take MY YOKE upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and YOU WILL FIND REST to your SOULS.

Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Trying To Earn Favor With God

Gal 4:10 You are trying to EARN FAVOR with God by OBSERVING certain DAYS or months or seasons or years.

Gal 4:11 I fear for you. Perhaps all my hard work with you was for nothing.12 Dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to live as I do in freedom from these things, for I have become like you GentilesFREE from those LAWS.

Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, you have been called unto liberty; only don’t use liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by LOVE SERVE ONE ANOTHER.

Let No Man Judge You in Holy Days or Sabbaths

Col 2:9 For in [Christ] dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

Col 2:10 And you are COMPLETE in him, which is the HEAD of all principality and power:

Col 2:11 In whom also you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also you are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead.

Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of ORDINANCES that was AGAINST US, which was contrary to us, and took it OUT OF THE WAY, nailing it to his cross;

Col 2:16 Let NO MAN THEREFORE JUDGE YOU in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an HOLY DAY, or of the NEW MOON, or of the SABBATH DAYS:

Col 2:17 Which are a SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME; but the BODY is of Christ.

Romans 14:5 One man esteems One Day Above Another: another esteems EVERY DAY ALIKE. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

Romans 14:6 He that regards the day, regards it to the Lord; and he that regards not the day, to the Lord he does not regard it. He that eats, eats to the Lord, for HE GIVES GOD THANKS; and he that eats not, to the Lord he eats not, and GIVES GOD THANKS.

1 Tim 4:1 Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

1Tim 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to ABSTAIN FROM MEATS, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1Tim 4:4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

KEEPING THE OT LAW

2Cor 3:7 The OLD WAY, with LAWS ETCHED IN STONE, led to DEATH, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away.

2Cor 3:8 Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the NEW WAY, now that the HOLY SPIRIT is giving life?

Gal 3:18 For if the inheritance COULD be received by KEEPING the LAW, then it would NOT be the result of accepting God’s PROMISE. But God graciously gave it to Abraham as a promise.

Gal 3:24 Let me put it another way. The LAW was our Guardian UNTIL Christ CAME; it protected us until we could be made right with God through faith.

Gal 3:25 And now that the way of Faith has Come, we no longer need the LAW as our guardian.

Sabbaths A Sign & Covenant with – Israel

Exodus 31:12 And the Lord spake to Moses, saying,

Exodus 31:13 Speak you also to the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL, saying, Verily my SABBATHS you will KEEP: for it is a SIGN BETWEEN ME AND YOU throughout YOUR GENERATIONS; that YOU may KNOW that I AM THE LORD that does SANCTIFY you.

Ezekiel 20:12 Moreover also I gave THEM (Israel) my Sabbaths, to be a SIGN between ME and THEM” that they might know that I [am] the LORD that sanctify them.

CHRIST SANCTIFIES US

Hebrews 10:10 By the which will WE ARE sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all].
Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace SANCTIFY you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 13:12 Wherefore JESUS also, that HE might SANCTIFY the people with HIS OWN BLOOD

ISRAEL POLLUTED SABBATHS

Ezek 20:13 But the house of Israel REBELLED against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which [if] a man do, he will even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

…Ezek 20:20 hallow my sabbaths; and they will be a SIGN BETWEEN ME AND YOU, that YOU may know that I [am] the LORD your God.

Eze 20:21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which [if] a man do, he will even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

Eze 20:23 I lifted up mine hand to them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries

God Swore They Wouldn’t Enter His Rest

[They couldn’t keep the law and broke their part of the “contract” therefore nullifying the agreement… hence the Need for a Mediator – Jesus]

Heb 3:1 Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;

Heb 3:2 Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses [was faithful] in all his house.

Heb 3:3 For this [man] was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath built the house has more honor than the house.

Heb 3:4 For every house is built by some [man]; but he that built all things [is] God.

Heb 3:5 And Moses verily [was] faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a TESTIMONY of those things which WERE TO BE SPOKEN AFTER;

Heb 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the HOPE firm unto the end.

Heb 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost said, Today if you will hear his voice,

Heb 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Heb 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

Heb 3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in [their] heart; and they have not known my ways.

Heb 3:11 So I SWORE IN MY WRATH, THEY SHALL NOT ENTER INTO MY REST.)

Psalm 95:8 Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, [and] as [in] the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. 10 Forty years long was I grieved with [this] generation, and said, It [is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: 11 To whom I swore in my wrath that THEY SHOULD NOT ENTER INTO MY REST.

Heb 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Heb 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast until the end;

Heb 3:15 While it is said, Today if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Heb 3:16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.

Heb 3:17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?

Heb 3:18 And to whom swore he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

Heb 3:19 So we see that they could not enter in because of UNBELIEF.

Heb 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a PROMISE BEING LEFT US of ENTERING INTO HIS REST, any of you should seem to come short of it.

Heb 4:2 For to us was the GOSPEL PREACHED, as well as to them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it].

Heb 4:3 For WE WHICH HAVE BELIEVED DO ENTER INTO REST, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they will enter into my rest: although THE WORKS WERE FINISHED FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.

Heb 4:4 For he spoke in a certain place of the seventh [day] on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

Heb 4:5 And in this [place] again, If they will enter into my rest.

Heb 4:6 SEEING THEREFORE IT REMAINS THAT SOME MUST ENTER THEREIN, AND THEY TO WHOM IT WAS FIRST PREACHED ENTERED NOT IN BECAUSE OF UNBELIEF:

Hebrews 4:7 NLT – So God set ANOTHER TIME for ENTERING HIS REST, and that time is TODAY. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”

Hebrews 4:8 NLT – Now if Joshua had succeeded in giving them this rest, God would Not have spoken about another day of rest STILL TO COME.

Hebrews 4:9 NLT – So there is a special rest STILL waiting for the people of God.

Heb 4:10 For he that is Entered into HIS REST, he also has ceased from his own WORKS, as God [did] from his. [our works to get right with God]

Heb 4:11 Let us LABOR therefore to Enter into THAT rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

Heb 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Heb 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked and opened to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

Heb 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] PROFESSION.

Heb 4:15 For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Under SABBATH LAW You MUST Observe ALL Sabbaths & Sacrifice Rituals

The only way to keep true “Sabbaths” would be to work from a Jewish LUNAR calendar and not the Gregorian Calendar. We are no longer under this covenant, all feasts and Sabbaths pointed to Christ through illustration and only a SHADOW of things to COME. Some Jews still do not believe in Christ, so they wait for the temple to continue sacrifice, working under the LAW and will be judged by works and the Law.

As Christians, we could commemorate these feasts, but to actually FULFILL them all under the law would mean sacrificing animals. Christ fulfilled the law and we are complete in Him.

SABBATH RULE BREAKERS CONDEMNED TO DEATH

Exodus 31:14 You will keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy to you: every one that defiles it will surely BE PUT TO DEATH: for whosoever does ANY work therein, that soul will be cut off from among his people.

Exodus 31:15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever does ANY work in the Sabbath day, he will surely be PUT TO DEATH.

Exodus 31:16 Wherefore the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL will KEEP the SABBATH, to observe the sabbath throughout THEIR generations, for a perpetual COVENANT.

Exodus 31:17 It is a SIGN between ME and the Children of ISRAEL forever: for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

Exodus 31:18 And he gave to Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of STONE, written with the finger of God.

Exodus 31:10  [God said] I caused THEM to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

Exodus 31:11 And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which [if] a man do, he will even live in them.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SABBATHS

Leviticus 23:1 The LORD said to Moses,

Leviticus 23:2 “Give the following instructions to the PEOPLE OF ISRAEL. These are the LORD’s appointed festivals, which you are to proclaim as official days for holy assembly.

Leviticus 23:3 “You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of complete rest, an official day for holy assembly. It is the LORD’s Sabbath day, and it must be observed wherever you live.

Leviticus 23:4 “In addition to the Sabbath, these are the LORD’s appointed festivals, the official days for holy assembly that are to be celebrated at their proper times each year.

Leviticus 23:5 “The LORD’s Passover begins at sundown on the fourteenth day of the first month.

Leviticus 23:6 On the next day, the fifteenth day of the month, you must begin celebrating the Festival of Unleavened Bread. This festival to the LORD continues for seven days, and during that time the bread you eat must be made without yeast.

Leviticus 23:7 On the first day of the festival, all the people must stop their ordinary work and observe an official day for holy assembly.

Leviticus 23:8 For seven days you must present special gifts to the LORD. On the seventh day the people must again stop all their ordinary work to observe an official day for holy assembly.”

Leviticus 23:9 Then the LORD said to Moses,

Leviticus 23:10 “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you enter the land I am giving you and you harvest its first crops, bring the priest a bundle of grain from the first cutting of your grain harvest.

Leviticus 23:11 On the day after the Sabbath, the priest will lift it up before the LORD so it may be accepted on your behalf.

Leviticus 23:12 On that same day you must sacrifice a one-year-old male lamb with no defects as a burnt offering to the LORD.

Leviticus 23:13 With it you must present a grain offering consisting of four quarts of choice flour moistened with olive oil. It will be a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the LORD. You must also offer one quart of wine as a liquid offering.

Leviticus 23:14 Do not eat any bread or roasted grain or fresh kernels on that day until you bring this offering to your God. This is a PERMANENT LAW for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation wherever you live.

Leviticus 23:15 “From the day after the Sabbath–the day you bring the bundle of grain to be lifted up as a special offering–count off seven full weeks.

Leviticus 23:16 Keep counting until the day after the seventh Sabbath, fifty days later. Then present an offering of new grain to the LORD.

Leviticus 23:17 From wherever you live, bring two loaves of bread to be lifted up before the LORD as a special offering. Make these loaves from four quarts of choice flour, and bake them with yeast. They will be an offering to the LORD from the first of your crops.

Leviticus 23:18 Along with the bread, present seven one-year-old male lambs with no defects, one young bull, and two rams as burnt offerings to the LORD. These burnt offerings, together with the grain offerings and liquid offerings, will be a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the LORD.

Leviticus 23:19 Then you must offer one male goat as a sin offering and two one-year-old male lambs as a peace offering.

Leviticus 23:20 “The priest will lift up the two lambs as a special offering to the LORD, together with the loaves representing the first of your crops. These offerings, which are holy to the LORD, belong to the priests.

Leviticus 23:21 That same day will be proclaimed an official day for holy assembly, a day on which you do no ordinary work. This is a PERMANENT LAW for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation wherever you live.

Circumcision & The Law

Gal 5:1 [v. 1-13 NLT] So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.

Gal 5:2 Listen! I, Paul, tell you this: If you are counting on circumcision to make you right with God, then Christ will be of no benefit to you.

Gal 5:3 I’ll say it again. If you are trying to find favor with God by being circumcised, you must obey every regulation in the whole law of Moses.

Gal 5:4 For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God’s grace.

Gal 5:5 But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us.

Gal 5:6 For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love.

Gal 5:7 You were running the race so well. Who has held you back from following the truth?

Gal 5:8 It certainly isn’t God, for he is the one who called you to freedom.

Gal 5:9 This false teaching is like a little yeast that spreads through the whole batch of dough!

Gal 5:11 Dear brothers and sisters, if I were still preaching that you must be circumcised–as some say I do–why am I still being persecuted? If I were no longer preaching salvation through the cross of Christ, no one would be offended.

Gal 5:12 I just wish that those troublemakers who want to mutilate you by circumcision would mutilate themselves.

Gal 5:13 For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

  1. So are you saying that the whole Ten commandments have been done away with , including the SEVENTH-DAY sabbath…So what Day should Gods people worship now on..Sunday??..Provide biblical references to where in the bible that it says God or Jesus has changed the Sabbath…And please dont use Acts verses to JUSTIFY your answer (they met on the Lords Day) because the Disciples met on a regular basis- DAILY…So their every day could normal as always, Giving sermons and praying…Before I finish please answer this for me too..please..James2:10 ‘For whosoever shall keep the whole Law , and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. QUESTION: What Law was James implying to here ;the 10 Commandments or the Law written in our hearts and minds?

    1. I’m not saying anything, Only posting scriptures. Read the section LAWS ETCHED IN STONE.
