God’s Name

Is the God of the Jews and Christianity the same god of Islam?

What’s in a name?

jesus-on-the-cross-11288023169aJdgYahweh, YHWH, I AM or Jehovah is the official name of the biblical God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and appears 6,218 times throughout scriptures but is NOT mentioned ONCE in the Quran.

Below is a list of 99 DESCRIPTIONS of the Muslim god Allah found in the Quran, but NONE of the descriptions of Allah refer to him even ONCE as Jehovah, Yahweh or YHWH.

Though some Descriptions may be similar to that of the God of the Bible, they are ultimately NOT the same “person” as will be discussed in future articles comparing concepts from the bible to the Quran, as evidenced by the contradictions from the Bible to the Quran.
