FALSE PROPHETS & CHRISTS

Mat 24:3 The disciples came to [Jesus] privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? and what [will be] the sign of your coming, and of the end of the world?

Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no NO MAN DECEIVES YOU. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. [Luke 21:8 repeats then adds] … and the time draws near: Do NOT go therefore after them.

Mat 24:23 If any man shall say to you, Look, here is Christ, or there; do not believe it. ²⁴ For there will arise FALSE CHRISTS, and FALSE PROPHETS, and shall show GREAT signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive [*or seduce, if it were possible, even the very elect. *Mark 13:21] 

Mat 24:25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say to you, Behold, he is in the DESERT; do NOT go forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; DON’T believe it.

Isaiah 45:19 I have NOT spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I did not say to the seed of Jacob, Seek me in vain [I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me if I could not be found – NLT]: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. 20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up …their graven image, and pray to a god that cannot save.

Deut 18:20 The prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. 21 and if you say in your heart, How will we know the word which the LORD has not spoken? 22 When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the prediction does not follow or come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD has not spoken, but the prophet has spoken it presumptuously: you shall not be afraid of him.

Titus 1:10 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers…11 whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre’s [money’s] sake. 14 They must stop listening to Jewish myths and the commandments of men. 15That from the truth to the pure, all things are pure; but to them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and to every good work reprobate.

Eze 22:27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

2Peter 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make Merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingers not, and their damnation slumbers not.

Jude 1:4 – Some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. NLT (KJV… denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.)

2Pet 2:4 For if God did not spare the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved to judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an example to those that after should live ungodly; 7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: 9 The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

2Pet 2:10 But chiefly those that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous [are they], self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

2Pet 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, [as] they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots [they are] and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

2Pet 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, … who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

2Pet 2:17 They are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a storm; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling [words] of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, [through much] wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

Wanton: 1. Lascivious or promiscuous 2. Marked by unprovoked, gratuitous maliciousness; capricious and unjust: wanton destruction.3. Unrestrainedly excessive: wanton extravagance 6. Rebellious
2Pet 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known [it], to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

2Pet 2:22 But it is happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Mat 7:16 You shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither [can] a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that brings not forth good fruit is thrown down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.

THE ENEMY OF OUR SOULS

Rev 9:11 And they had a king over them, [which is] the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue [is] Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue [his] name is Apollyon.

Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Rev 16:14 They are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Eph 6: 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Proverbs 8:35 Whosoever finds me finds life, and shall obtain favor of the LORD. 36 But he that sins against me wrongs his own soul: all they that hate me – love death.
